When you consume too much vitamin A, the body naturally responds against it and prevents toxic buildup levels. Therefore, eating a lot of carrots will not improve your vision if you are already getting enough vitamin A.

Also, vitamin A is readily found in dark green leafy vegetables, milk, cheese, liver, brightly colored veggies, and fish. If you take regular amounts of these every week, you don’t need extra carrots.

Colorblind People See In Black, White, And Grey.

Another common myth is that people who are color blind only see in back, white, or grey. The name suggests it, so it’s easy to see where people came up with this notion. However, contrary to the myth, colorblind people can see some color.

There are many types of color blindness, and each can see a different range of colors. Think of color blindness as color deficiency. Different people have color deficiencies of various colors. Most colorblind people see normally, except red, green, and blue light. The rarest form of color blindness is achromatopsia or total color blindness.

Eye Exercises Improve Your Vision.

This is another common misconception that has led people to do many strange exercises to improve vision issues. But, unfortunately, these eye exercises do not improve your vision nor reduce the need for glasses.

Your vision depends on many factors. Therefore, eye exercises cannot alter how good or bad your vision becomes. Instead, they help you with focus. That’s why most eye exercises demand that you shift focus from item to item.

People Who Wear Glasses Should Not Do Close-Up Work.

And finally, if you wear glasses, you have probably heard that you should not strain your eyes with a lot of close-up work, such as reading small print. But this is not the case. You can read small print and do other close-up work if you wear glasses.
